TEAM SHO/ROCK N ROAD CYCLERY 2007

One more rider is possible

OShow: Johnny OMara was a former Supercross Champion, 125 National Champion and Motocross des Nations Champion.

Manny: Manual Prado won the 2006 California State Championship Series this weekend.

Jonny Katt – Ty Kady was a former amateur racer for Suzuki motocross.

Sho-Air Internationals Scott Tedro, Rock N Road Cyclerys Matt Ford, and Johnny OMara, both amateur mountain bike racers, have added Ty Kady and Ty Kady in their efforts to create an elite team. Sho-Air and Rock N Road Cyclery are launching an aggressive assault on multiple racing fronts. This includes individual and team endurance events for single-speed and geared bikes. A nearly complete team of riders from different age groups and races will be equipped with Specialized S-Work Epic suspension frames and S-Works hardtails.

MOTOCROSSERS GO BACK TOGETHER AGAIN
Tedro added Johnny OMara to the team’s already impressive roster through off-season negotiations. Kady and OMara, as well as National Mountain Bike Series round #1 semiprocross-country winner Manual Prado, will be leading the cross-country efforts. OMara’s home shop was Rock N Road Cyclery for many years. Kady and OMara teamed up to create Rock N Road in 2005.

OMara, a three time U.S. National Masters Champion, will serve as team captain and bring with him years of elite racing experience. Long-standing sponsors Oakley, Cytomax and ESI grips, as well as Serfas saddles, will be joining the OShow’s 2007 campaign.

Ty Kady is back for his second year as a semi-pro cross-country racer. Kady has just finished a strong rookie year, which included a close win at the Southridge National opener and Sea Otter Classic. Kady placed 3rd at this year’s U.S. National Championship, to go with a slew other wins.

TEAM THAT SAVED LIFE
Scott was an easy decision to create Team Sho-Air. Scott was captivated by eco-friendly cyclists and experienced the benefits of cycling firsthand. He felt the need to encourage, support and invite others to this sport that saved his own life. This month’s Mountain Bike Action issue (December 2006) features Tedros inspiring story.

Sho-Air International is a transportation company that transports corporate trade show attendees worldwide.

HEADQUARTERS
Rock N Road Cyclery will be the team’s headquarters for the 2007 racing season with its three Orange County locations and the opening of its new Specialized Concept store Anaheim Hills. Matt Ford, Rock N Roads founder, has formed a partnership to support the team with clothing and bikes with Tedro. Ford, a seven-time USCF Time Trial Champion and current champion, is no stranger to winning and giving 110%. Ford is also a competitor in ultra-endurance, 500-mile-plus events.

WELCOME TO THE BULLPEN
Tedro has put together a team of 20 to tackle all aspects of mountain biking racing. Louis Kobin, a three-time La Ruta Women Champion, has signed up for next year. Bernice Pierson, an accomplished adventure racer and aspirer in Sho-Air females, has signed on to join the Sho-Air women’s contingent. She will also be adding endurance mountain biking to her busy schedule. Bill Scott, the Norba Series Super D Champion (Exp 45-509) and all-round good guy returns for another year. Mario Correa, a twenty-four hour solo specialist joins the team. Correa won the Hurkey Creek 24 Hour of Adrenaline men’s solo race.

John Fuzzy Mylne, the 2005 Vision Quest single-speed champ, will return for another season with Jason First and Justin Rosen. Terry Best is also returning. Ex-AFP Velo Sport stars Brad Stephenson and Todd Stephenson will fly Sho-Air/Rock N Road kit kits, giving a double whammy to the pro single-speed division.

THE FUTURE
With its massive out-of-the-industry support, Team Sho-Air/Rock N Road Cyclery gives grassroots mountain biking a boost. Tedro and Ford want to change the perception of outside sponsors about us. One more mountain bike personality can be added to this diverse group. It could be you.
